$2,800 for a psycho-educational assessment

*Therapy sessions are a total of one hour, with 10 minutes for paperwork and 50 minutes for treatment.

**Additional fees may be incurred for report writing and/or testing and are determined on a case to case basis. For more information, please contact our office.

**Please note, coverage can vary depending on your insurance company. We encourage you to check with your insurance company to make sure that your plan covers the practitioner's services whom you are planning to book with prior to your appointment.

Cancellation Policy

We require at least 24 hours' notice for rescheduling or cancelling scheduled appointment times. If proper notice is not given, clients will be charged for the full appointment cost. For appointments that are two hours in length, we require at least 48 hours' notice.

In the event your appointment occurs the day after a holiday, notice must be given by 12:00pm the business day prior to the holiday. If insufficient notice is given, you will be charged for the appointment.

In the case of a practice closure, you will be notified by phone or email of this closure, as well as a closure notice posted on the website and voicemail of the office.

** Please note, insurance companies do not cover the cost of missed or late cancellation appointment fees.

Payment Methods

Methods of payment accepted are Visa, Master Card, Debit, cash and direct billing if applicable. We do not accept personal cheques.

Medication Management

Our team members are psychologists. This means we have extensive training in therapy and assessment services, but unlike psychiatrists, we do not have the advanced medical training necessary to prescribe medications. However, we happily partner with local psychiatrists and physicians if medication management is a necessary part of your ongoing care plan.

We are Currently Accepting New Patients and Referrals

Bird & Associates Psychological Services of Halifax welcomes anyone who may be interested in booking an appointment, receiving more information about our therapeutic approach or learning more about services offered to contact our office.
